My Philosophy
The techniques and treatments I employ are designed to facilitate healing and restore balance in order to move toward optimal health. Total health is a balance of vibrant physical, emotional, and mental health. It is the balance and integration of body, mind, and spirit. When we experience pain it is a signal of disharmony between this triad of health. It lets us know when something needs to be changed, and prevents us from damaging ourselves further. The human body has an amazing capacity to compensate for stress, which includes the stress of faulty alignment or biomechanics. When our body has reached the limit of our adaptive capacity, pain and dysfunction arise, often in an area distant from the original problem. In order to achieve lasting results, it is important to identify and treat the source of the problem. The body will always choose to move toward health when offered the opportunity.
